Pemba Gyalijen Sherpa
Personal history:
With many years of experience, Pemba Gyalijen Sherpa has become an experienced trekker and expediter. He uses his experiences and knowledge to guide various adventure groups and assisted them to successfully complete many expeditions. Pemba was born in 20th February 1973 in Juving solukhumbu, Nepal. Because of high interest in outdoor activities, Pemba has been focused on acquiring trainings and courses related to mountaineering, trekking and climbing. Pemba has taken various national and international training and courses organized by Nepal mountaineering association, Nepal Academy of Science and Technology National Alpinism and Ski Chamonix France and many more. Some of his training courses are Trekking guide course, Basic mountaineering course, rock climbing course, First aid and Cardio pulmonary resuscitation, Guide Diploma of ENSA, First aid and medication course, Mountaineering instructor, Mountain rescue, Snow and Avalanche course, Mountain guide certification etc.
Experiences and the area of expertise:
Pemba has gained enormous experience in climbing and mountaineering. He has reached the summit of the mountains ranging from 4465 m to the world’s highest mountain – Mt. Everest (8848m). He has also climbed Mt. K2 8611m, Pakistan via Cesen route without any supplementary Oxygen. Some of other climbing and mountaineering experience of Pemba are Mera peak 6420m. Nepal (Summit 7 times), Imjatse (Island) peak 6120m (summit 9 times), Ramdung peak 5900m (summit 2 times), Labuche peak 6100m (summit 4 times), Kwangde Lho peak 6150m (summit 1 time), Naya khang 5860m(summit 4 times),Pokalde 5800m (summit 1 time), Mehara peak 5900m (summit 1 time), Gya north 6900m (Ascent 1 time), Mt. Blanc du Tacul 4248m( 2 times), Dent du Geant 4013m(1 time) and many more. His areas of expertise are mountaineering, climbing, trekking and other adventure related activities.
Other Achievements:
Pemba has been honored by various awards from various national and international institutes for his outstanding guiding abilities. He has also rescued many climbers during his expedition guidance. Some of the awards are SAARC Mountaineering Trophy, Everest Golden Jubilee Medal, Felicitation letter honor, Best Adventurer of the Year 2008 (Heroism Award), David A, Sowles Memorial Award honor, Sagarmatha Rastriya Puraskar (Everest National Award) and many more.
